The Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival in Huntington, Indiana, returns on Sept. 24 and 25, 2016, for a 41st year of transporting visitors to a simpler time. Guests can expect to encounter re-enactors living the lifestyle of Hoosier pioneers, military units conducting drills on foot and on horseback, traders hawking their wares, and meals being prepared over open fires.
The festival also celebrates the pioneering spirits who brought us engines, tractors, bicycles and motorcars, which you'll find displayed on the festival grounds. You'll also find quality crafts and antiques, old-fashioned games for the younguns, and food and entertainment to please any taste.
